Monday - "Did You Know Facts" Part 2

Hello BeerOhBeer fans,

As promised, the next part of the "did you know facts". 
So take a beer and enjoy these facts about the most precious drink in the world.

Did you know...

...That in the middle ages is was very hard to find healthy and clean water, so many people chose to drink beer instead of dirty water because the alcohol made it safer to drink?

...If you would drink alcohol on an empty stomach it would get you drunk faster because the alcohol is obsorbed more quickly?

...Frank Zappa once said "You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline, it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer"?



...That around 90% of beer sold in the UK, is produced in the UK? 

...That at any given time, 0.7% of the worlds population is drunk? Cheers to that!

...Your body can break down one alcoholic drink in about one hour?

Monday - "Did You Know Facts" Part 1

So let's kick of every monday with some interesting beer "did you know facts":


Did you know...

...There are over 2,000 different beer brands available in the UK and over 1.5 million pints a day are exported to    over 120 different countries?

...George Washington owned and brewed his own brewery?

...Cenosillicaphobia is fear of an empty glass. My advice? Always order 2 beers at a time!

...The prohibition in the United states lasted 13 years, 10 months, 19 days, 17 hours and 32,5 minutes. It was president Roosevelt who made alcohol back legal. When he did so, one of the first things he said was "What America needs now is a drink" 

...That beer contains female hormones?
