Earlier this week I talked about the best beer in de world
namely Trappist Westvleteren XII. The beer is brewed by 30 Belgian monks and
normally people can only buy it at the abbey after reserving a limited amount.
Since it was announced the best beer of the world, every beer lover wants to try it. This is why the monks made a onetime exception to export the beer to America. A few years ago the beer became famous because of the beer rate list. Every company would normally love this free advertising and would try to make profit out of the amazing free marketing they are offered but not the monks. Only once a year they make an agreement with Colruyt, a Belgian supermarket. People can then buy the beer over there, but after a few hours it is always sold out and then you have got to wait for next year. So no marketing for these monks!
